Venezuela’s Supreme Court made a decision. They fined TikTok $10 million. The reason is that TikTok did not stop viral challenges. These challenges caused the deaths of three children.
The court said TikTok has to pay the fine. They have to pay it to the National Communications Commission. The money will be used to help the families of the children who died. The court also wants TikTok to open an office in Venezuela.
The court made this decision because of a complaint. A group of people complained that TikTok was not doing enough to stop viral challenges. These challenges are hurting children. The group wanted the court to do something to stop TikTok.
