Oliver Mtukudzi’s Daughters Reveal Heartbreaking Accounts of Abuse and Neglect

AUTHOR : LLOYD MAHACHI

Selmor and Sandra Mtukudzi have bravely shared their traumatic experiences of abuse and neglect at the hands of their stepmother, Daisy, in an emotional interview with DJ Ollah 7.

Sandra recounted being abandoned by her father and Daisy at 16, left to fend for herself in Kwekwe. The situation worsened when they moved to Norton without telling her, leaving her with no home or support.

After desperate efforts, Sandra reached out to her father through a cousin, but Daisy’s response was inadequate. She reimbursed Sandra’s boss for a water issue but denied her request to stay in the family cottage, forcing Sandra to find rental accommodation at 17.

Sandra also exposed the painful favoritism shown to Daisy and Oliver’s biological children. A particularly distressing incident left her feeling inferior, recalling, “It made me feel like I was beneath the maid.”

“I remember being excluded from a party,” Sandra shared. “My siblings were excitedly preparing, but I was left behind, feeling worthless and unloved.”

The sisters’ courageous revelation sheds light on the long-standing family tensions and the devastating impact of abuse and neglect on vulnerable children in blended families.

Their story highlights the need for support and protection for those affected by similar experiences.
