Albania has decided to ban TikTok for one year. This decision was made after a teenager was killed last month. The government is worried about the influence of social media on children.

The ban will start early next year. Prime Minister Edi Rama announced this after meeting with parents and teachers. He said that TikTok will be completely shut down for everyone in Albania.

TikTok has not commented on this decision yet. Other European countries like France, Germany, and Belgium have also put restrictions on social media use for children. Australia has even banned social media for children under 16.

The Prime Minister of Albania blames social media, especially TikTok, for violence among young people. This decision comes after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed to death by another student. The two boys had argued on social media before the incident.

Videos on TikTok even showed minors supporting the killing. The Prime Minister said that social media is taking children hostage. He thinks that society and social media are the problems, not the children.

The government wants to make schools safer. It has planned other measures to achieve this goal. The ban on TikTok is part of this plan. The government will monitor the situation and decide what to do next.

This decision has sparked a debate about social media and its impact on children. Some people think that banning TikTok is a good idea, while others disagree. They think that it is not the solution to the problem.

The Albanian government is serious about tackling the issue of social media violence. It wants to protect its children and make sure they are safe. The ban on TikTok is a step in this direction.
