Russia,Equatorial Guinea strengthen Energy ties in Moscow meeting

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang Nguema in Moscow, highlighting their successful partnership within the Gas Exporting Countries Forum and OPEC+. Putin praised their cooperation, stating that Equatorial Guinea is a key partner in stabilizing global energy markets.

The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and international issues, aiming to strengthen their alliance. The meeting demonstrated Russia’s growing influence in Africa and its commitment to collaboration with oil-rich nations.

Putin emphasized their effective cooperation within OPEC+, citing success in stabilizing energy markets. He acknowledged Equatorial Guinea’s importance as a partner in achieving this shared goal.

The Kremlin announced that the meeting would also address regional issues and bilateral relations, including economic cooperation and investment. This visit marks another significant step in solidifying Russia’s ties with Equatorial Guinea.

Experts see this partnership as strategic for Russia’s energy interests and influence in Africa. The cooperation within OPEC+ and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum demonstrates Russia’s commitment to global energy stability.
